My Top 10 Best for 2009

On Crop Addict message board, one of the members posted an interesting idea being that they were going to pick their own personal favorite top 10 scrapbook pages that they made for the 2009 year. It thought that would be a good idea to be able to reflect back on some of her shining moments that she felt most proud of. It also kind of interesting to see what other people really liked the most from their own work. We never really feel comfortable about pointing out what we think is our best work & prefer to hear it from others instead. But those other opinions are just a matter of personal taste & may not necessarily reflect our own. So this is a good way for us to say "Hey! These are what I think was my favorite either by subject or by design." It's always fun to look back anyway when a new year approaches, don't ya think?

OK, so here are the ones I think are my Top 10 choices - in no particular order:

God Bless & have a great day!

Maybe bragging but...

I am still thrilled about making Honorable Mention for the Reminisce DT search & today they showed some of the projects from the winner & other 4 runners up. I can see why I didn't make the team, but I do want to share my projects that I submitted. It's my Photobucket album, so there's 2 pages of entries. The ones that an asterisk (*) in the title have additional info included when you click on the picture. And if you're not familiar with Photobucket, if you click on the picture after that, you will get a close up view (I think?) Reminisce Entry

So, does everyone have their New Year's Resolutions made or do you not make any at all? I don't really do any, because I know that I won't keep it or it makes it harder for me to maintain it, psychologically.

Last night, Alan & went to eat at the Plymouth Country Club. We were given a certificate for a free dinner for two and we had to use it up before the Jan. 1st. The food & drinks were delicious, but it took almost 2 hours from beginning to end and that was with no wait time to be seated & they weren't busy either. I'm not familiar with eating at places like that, but is that how they do it? We felt like we wasted quite a bit of the evening having dinner. I also decided to try Halibut & found out that it's delicious & I would definitely order it again! I love seafood & about the only thing that I don't think I would eat seafood wise would be raw oysters. I just don't think I could do it.

Well, I have to make a pasta salad for the New Year's party we're going to tonight, so I guess I best be getting off here & start whipping it up so it can have enough time to chill.

God Bless & have a great day & hopefully a fantastic New Year!

Good scrappy news to me...

I got word last night that I didn't make the Reminisce design team, or even the top 5 for prizes, but I did get Honorable Mention!! So, that's pretty big to me, since I didn't even get THAT last year. There was only one spot open, so that makes it pretty limited for those entering. I was pretty happy with my entries. And if you look at my Reminisce Gallery, you can see I'm a HUGE fan of their product all year long! I was happy to see that the person that won wasn't a scrapbook celebrity, well at least I didn't recognize her name. In fact, I didn't recognize the names of the top 5 & I think it's important to give credit where credit is due & not just because you have a familiar name in the business. I KNOW there's great talent out there than just those that saturate the magazines & company design teams. I see it all the time & I'm not just talking about my own stuff either.

OK, enough from that soap box... Now I'm waiting to hear from Crop Addict this week to see who their picks are for their design team. I love their site & have been a BIG fan for a couple of years there. They give away awesome prizes on their challenges & even though I haven't gotten any of their kits, they are amazing.

The sun is finally shining here today & I'm really happy to see it too! I'm not tired of snow yet, but I am tired of gloomy, cloudy days. The sun won't last long (today only) before it gets cloudy & more snow with colder temps are to return tomorrow.

Well, I'm keeping it brief today, but I just gotta say that I'm getting the itch to scrapbook, but having Alan here while he's on vacation makes it kinda tough, since he wants to spend quality time together. I don't have a problem with that, but it can be a bit overwhelming to me at times. I'm used to being by myself most of my life, so I have a hard time giving up my ME time so much. I'm glad that he loves me so much & wants to spend time with me, since my first husband was the total opposite, so I'd rather have a totally devoted hubby than one that wasn't at all. For that I'm totally grateful.

Lately, I've been hearing about the scrapbooking idea of Scrap 365. Ummm, as much as I am passionate about scrapbooking, I'm not that obsessed. I have too many other priorities in my life, including making the memories that I want to scrap about, to dedicate that much time to my hobby. However, there is something that's called 12. This is where you scrap about each month, either one major thing or the month in an overview. I think I'd like to try this for 2010. It's doable for me even though I might forget to keep up on it. That's my downfall on these kinds of projects, forgetfulness. Oh well, we'll see how it pans out! Maybe it's something you too could consider trying? I'd love to see your work along the way on this, if you want to share.

Well, I'm going to end this update for now & get ready to go to Target to get a SDHC card (that stands for Super Duper High Cost-LOL!) for my new camera. It's a Sony H20 & it's a sweet thing, I just wished it had more internal memory to hold more than 3-4 pictures. I thought it took the same SD card that my old camera took, but it doesn't. Target has them on sale this week & we have a "coupon" for an additional 10% off our purchases for one day. Need to get some more Epson printer ink that's on sale too!

God Bless & take care!

Whew!

Well, I haven't gotten EVERYTHING finished ( I know you all were worried...) but I have survived getting my Christmas cards completed & mailed. The last batch went out today. Those were just for the locals that should get them by Christmas Eve. Some of the others might not make it to their destinations by then, but by Sat. anyway.

I was going to prepare some cookie trays for our 2 neighbors, but I think I'm going to skip that after all. They seem to be irritated with our neighborly-ness, so I see no need to try to be extra nice to them, although it would be fun to irritate them more, wouldn't it? They are OK people, but since we are not on the wife's side of the family in one neighbor's case, she doesn't want to be bothered by us. The other neighbor (these 2 neighbors are brothers) just has a different personality altogether & there's nothing wrong with that, but I'm not that close with the wife either. It's just my husband that is "friends" with these husbands. It was my hubby that suggested we skip the goodies with them this year.

I think I'm all caught up with all the projects, I just need to finish the gift wrapping & I have started on that although not a very good start, but a start none the less!

I will be getting a new digital camera for Christmas & I'm really excited to use it. I hope it makes it until our next trip to Disney, which won't be for another 3-4 years. I was kinda hoping for a laptop, but alas, the camera won out. If I were to get the laptop, then I would need other items in addition & even the gifts we bought weren't really in the budget as it was, so extra stuff is just that much more of a strain. I think I'm going to have to go & try to find a job. I have become accustomed to my current lifestyle & I know that things would have to change as far as managing my time. I've done it before like so many other out there, but I like it this way. My husband's job is questionable at this time & I don't want 2 of us out of work if I can help it.

Well, I have to go take the recycling to the center & pick up a few groceries before my sister gets here, so I'll will leave you with many warm Christmas thoughts & hope that you all have a wonderful & safe Christmas.

God Bless!!

Busy, busy, busy!!

I don't think I'm the only one running around like a chicken with my head cut off right now, but it doesn't help me get everything done that I wanted to get done! I had planned on having my Christmas cards sent out by now, but they're not even done. First, I wanted the Bazzill Bling cardstock in Diamond (white), but it has been on back order since early Oct & no one has it or can get it - not even online where I have checked. So I had the next best thing & that was 2 sheets of the Glass Slipper, which is an ivory color. Do you know that my Cricut E machine screwed up BOTH sheets!!! ARGH!!! Since the paper is a thicker & softer kind of card stock, the Cricut doesn't cut as cleanly. So, I put in a brand new blade, set my settings so they didn't cut all the way through & I just figured I'd do it in multiple cuts. I have never had this problem before, but when it's done cutting the first time around, I hit Page Load to start over. The 2nd time, it moved over just a bit so that I had double cuts, but didn't realize it until I came back after the entire thing had been done. So now I have to go to the LSS that is a half hour away & get the Glass Slipper paper that they have & try this again so my cards can hopefully get out in the mail before the end of day on Monday. I have had these cards all planned out & ready except for the this last part since Sept. & yet, here I am, less than a week before Christmas & I'm still working on them. Why can't anyone get Diamond from Bazzill since Oct? They even have ads in all the scrap magazines right now for THAT color of paper! I guess I could use white cardstock & just use Glimmer Mist on it, but I just don't feel like adding that to the equation too.

I also still have more baking to do. Some of it is made, just waiting in the freezer to be thawed, baked & decorated. The rest is waiting to be made yet. I don't know what I'll put it in though, I've run out of containers already!

I'm just tired already, but we had a really fun day today. We got enough pretty snow yesterday to make it really feel like Christmas now. On our way back home from Valparaiso, we had a fun little "make it up as you go" sing-a-long to the tune of Jingle Bells. Well, it was mostly just my husband, Alan & our daughter, Brooke. Most of her stuff didn't really rhyme, but she came up with a few good ones that had us rolling with laughter! I love it when we're making memories (insert heart warming sigh here).

I have managed to get Teacher's Gifts, Bus Driver's gifts, some cards & a special order craft project completed this week, oh & I can't forget the 25 paper stockings that I cut & sewed together for my daughter's Kindergarten class craft project. I'm not sure what I was thinking there, but the kids loved it, even if they have to wait until they come back from Christmas break to take it home because it wasn't dry. The kids got a little heavy on the glitter glue....you can only imagine. (insert rolling eyes now).

Below is a Jif Peanut Butter jar that I altered to add Chex Party Mix in for my daughter's bus driver. It was thrown together so fast, I couldn't believe how cute it turned out. I made another one for the girl that ordered a word sign from me, since she was being so patient waiting for me to get it done.

Well, if I don't get back on here before Christmas, may you all have a wonderful, safe & happy Christmas!!

God Bless & have a wonderful day!

My kind of challenge!!

Over at the Cuttlebug site, they're having a great challenge/contest going this week. if you know anything about my style, it's all about the bling, baby! I love shimmer, sparkle & glitz until it's oozing all over my projects. Well, I do sorta tone it back a little, I just don't want to cause blindness from all the glare. LOL!! Anyway, back to the subject at hand, over at Cuttlebug they want people to create a project with lots of glitter, bling & of course, the Cuttlebug. The winners (there's 15, I think?) will get a new, Oh My Crafts Exclusive embossing folder! If you go check out their site, they're some really cool looking folders!!

I used a card I had already started for a card swap, but this one was left over. I added more sparkle to the title, the divider strip & the snowflake by adding pretty clear & blue Stickles & also on the brad heads & the centers of the embossed snowflakes. Then, there's the pretty blue jewel snowflake in the center of the layered paper snowflake to give it real shine! I even used the Bazzill Bling cardstock in Diamond for the embossed top portion of the card & did a little reverse inked embossing trick using some blue Brilliance ink. This is one of my favorite brands of ink for the metallic shimmer it gives. I wish I could get a better shot of this, but it's overcast here this morning & it's supposed to rain with snow later on. I hope you can see enough of the shimmer. You can see more details in a larger view by clicking on the photo.

There's already some pretty stiff competition as I've gone through many of the entries so far. I have a feeling this one is gonna be a tough decision for those who are picking the winners. I know I would not want that task!

Well, this is all I have for today. I have a ton of projects that I need to get finished, plus I want to start making a lot of my cookie dough up to freeze so that when it gets closer to Christmas, I can just thaw, bake & decorate! I'd love to make more types of cookies than I do, but it's probably best that I don't ... it's bad enough the way it is.

God Bless & have a great day!

Survival

Well how many of you ate too much food on Thanksgiving? I know I did! Too much good food & a wonderful time spent with family. This might be one of the last holidays that I'll get to spend with my grandma, as she's planning on moving to Tennessee. I really wish she wouldn't, but she had made up her mind.

I took my son to the early morning shopping at Walmart in hopes of getting him a laptop, but as my typical luck would have it, we came up short by 2. We could have made it, but we didn't know where they were lining up for the laptops & walked by the line twice! By the time we found out where they were, we were too late, but we weren't giving up our spot, since we were so close. I did not leave there without a couple of good deals though. I managed to pick up the Cricut From the Kitchen cartridge I wanted. I know I could have gotten it cheaper at Michael's, but not after I spent the gas to get there & back. I had forgotten to bring my Michael's ad with me to do a price match at Walmart, but that was not that big of a deal & I was good with that. It was only a $2 savings I think. I also picked up a few pairs of pajamas for Brooke that was $3 & a pair of fleece pj's for me for $7. I should have picked up more for myself, but some women were blocking every side of the display & they weren't even looking at the stuff, they were just talking to each other & laughing. I really think that some people do that stuff just to be rude on purpose. I had to reach over the one woman's cart just to get the pair I got.

Then, DH & I made the 1 hour drive to the Lowes in Merrillville because we had seen they had some hard wood flooring on clearance the other day. We would have gotten it then, but we didn't know how much we needed. We should have just bought it all & returned what we didn't need. But nooooo, we go back & they still have the display that shows it's on clearance for $1.17/sq. ft. but there's none left in stock. They look on their computer & see that there's still some at the store in Portage & they have them hold it for us. I tried to get the lady to see if they had it on clearance too, but she didn't ask. So, we drive another 30 minutes to Portage & they have it on hold for us. There is none on display & they tell us that it's not clearanced, but it's not in regular stock status either. We try to get them to honor the clearance price, but they want to call the Merrillville store where we came from. Someone at the Merrillville store tells them that it's the regular price & they have none in stock. WHAT???? I was NOT happy about how that was all handled & needless to say, my husband ripped the paper, with our name, off the box & we left the cart full sitting there at the CS counter for them to deal with. I told the lady at the CS desk that I wished I would have taken a picture of the display with the REAL price to show them who was telling the truth. I'd like to take one of their stupid surveys now but since we didn't make a purchase, I didn't get one. Maybe I was just tired from getting up at 3 am, but even after getting a good night's sleep, I still think it was wrong. I guess I should look at it as they just saved us over $200 to go spend somewhere else!

I wonder how many people had some Black Friday bad luck stories? That's usually why I don't go out on BF, I'm not that lucky. I waste of a lot time & sleep for disappointment. I hardly think that's what Christmas is all about, don't you?

I'm really not that disgruntled about the day, but it feels good just to sit & complain about it, ya know? LOL!!

God Bless & hope you have a safe & happy day!

Some Pebbles Inc, projects

Below are a few projects I did back in August using the darling Lil' Miss line from Pebbles Inc. I absolutely adore the color palette from this line! The card didn't turn out quite as nice as I was hoping, Having a bit of trouble with the spacing of the lines & the adhesive was being a challenge too. I finally gave up trying to fix it at that point & called it done enough. I recreated another one for my friend, but didn't get a photo of that one & it turned out much nicer. Go figure!

Inside of card.

Layout using a sketch that a friend made for a crop challenge. These colors work great with a sepia photo! The paper I used for the mat is actually the 8x8 Travel paper from Making Memories. I thought it went perfectly with the Pebbles Inc. stuff.

A cute little card I made with the leftovers from the layout. I got tons of compliments at the crop over this.

That is all I have today. I have to finish getting my house in order for the big Feast on Thursday. It's my hope to complete little table decorations, but I seriously doubt that's going to happen.

God Bless & have a great day!

2nd Craft show Update

Sorry, there's no pic sharing today, just a lot of blabbing. So just be warned in case you're looking for some inspiration - it's not happening today, unless you're looking for craft show advice. ;)

I made it through the 2nd craft show for 2 weekends in a row. I did pretty good for the first day by making just a little over $200, but the 2nd day was pretty much a bust. I only made $14.50. My partner made much more than that the 2nd day, but she was marking her stuff so cheap, that I could not/would not compete. I marked several things down, but it didn't help too much. Many of the vendors were not selling well on Sunday anyway. We really did not expect to do well anyway. It's a Sunday, if people are going to spend their money, they're going to hit the new sales that just came out in the paper that day. Most are trying to start their Christmas shopping & the box stores are going to get the business on Sunday, not crafters. The show went too long on both days & we're hoping that the people hosting the show got the message that 5:00 is too late to stay & Sunday doesn't work at all. I don't regret doing the show, I just could have done something more with my Sunday than drive 30 minutes for $14.50 & lost 5 hours of my weekend, that's all I'm saying.

I did manage to sell the Red charger plate that I added the vinyl Christmas trees on to make the star and the plate stand to go along with it! I wasn't going to sell the plate holder, but I thought, what the heck? I can probably get more if I need any.

I did end up getting sick not too long after I got there with a sore throat & then my stomach wasn't feeling too great by the end of the evening. That's probably why I'm feeling kinda cranky about the whole thing. My throat was feeling really nasty this morning, but it's easing up now. Now I need to start on getting things put away & the house cleaned for Thanksgiving. I really can't afford to be sick right now, so I'm plugging along at the cleaning thing, slowly but surely!

I did receive my prize package from Crop Addict on Sat.! They always send out great stacks of paper in their prizes! I got some of the AWESOME Little Yellow Bicycle Halloween papers that I never was able to get my hands on, so I was totally THRILLED to see those among all the other cute everyday papers. I love the everyday papers, they work so well with making cards & I am starting to get more & more into cards these days. Oh dear, that reminds me....I had a card swap meeting tomorrow night & I need to get my 16 cards done! I have them started, but a long way to go for getting 16 done! I thought that was a lot of card to have to make for one group, but I was in the minority in that thinking, since everyone else liked the idea of getting 16 cards! Call me lazy then. LOL! It's not really being lazy, it's from not having enough supplies to complete 16 cards in the same style. You don't usually get a whole lot of ribbon on a spool, so I ran out the last time just trying to complete 14 cards. I do have to admit tho, I loved the different styles of cards I received from all the girls in the group, so maybe when I'm feeling better, I'll be a little more into it.

So, with that being said...I suppose I should get off here & get to work on my Winter cards for the swap. I'll share them after the swap & you might even get a sneak peak before then.

God Bless & have a great day!

The craft show was a HUGE success!

As some of you may know, I had a craft show on Nov. 7 & was totally stressing out in trying to prepare for it. Yes, I procrastinate the whole year in getting stuff made, but it's not like I'm not crafting anything! I did have a craft show in the Spring too & did quite well with that one, so much so that I even got a few orders. I have a couple of new orders still outstanding that I need to get my butt in gear on too!

These ladies probably think I fell off the face of the earth! They work where I bank at, but I have not seen them at any time that I've gone in there, & the last I knew, they weren't in any hurry for them, Thank Goodness! I think that time is running out for me though, since one wants something made with snowmen.

Anywho, back to the craft show...I didn't sell as many of my own crafts as I would have liked, but I'm not complaining, I came home with half of what I actually made. The rest of my sales were from purchased items that I bought wholesale. I made well over $300 in sales! Woo hoo!! That's about 3x more than I've ever made at any craft show I've ever done & I've been doing them for 10 yrs or more.

I made up a few Hand Sanitizer bottles with characters on them & sold 3, which I didn't have that many to begin with. I sold the Cars picture frame that I altered. Those are usually a big hit & I make no 2 alike, so they all have original designs.

Here are just a few of the things that I made with vinyl & my Cricut machine to sell. Of these 3 items, only the Tinkerbell bottle sold. There was another lady at the show selling chargers & tiles with vinyl designs on them, so it's a good thing I didn't go that route & I didn't simply because I figured someone would be doing just that (plus she has SCAL-her designs were gorgeous!). So I only made one charger simply because I had this design in my head for quite some time & was dying to try it out! I love the result, but it might have been a little easier if I could have welded it in Design Studio or the new Cricut Gypsy, which I don't have either.

Here is the Charger that I used the swirly tree cut from the Christmas Noel cart (I think?) Ihave been wanting to try to make a star image using this tree, but my original plan was to make it a 5 pointed star, but I cut them too small & I was NOT about to start all over!

This is the TinkerBell Hand Sanitizer bottle I made & used Stickles to sparkle it up a bit, but the stickles doesn't want to stay on the vinyl. It flakes off pretty easy, but it's a good thing this is a pump dispenser & won't get much handling on the image (hopefully).

This is a small jar candle that I thought would look really cute with the evergreen tree cut around it. This is one that I wish I had DS for, because it sucked getting all those tiny green parts onto the beige background for a cut-out look.

Well, like the fool that I am, I have a 2 DAY craft show again this weekend in the same town! So, me thinks I need to go make some new stuff so if the same people return, they'll have something different to look at. It ain't like I don't have enough supplies to make more either! DOH!!

So, that's my cue to get off here & go do something!

God Bless & have a great day!

Remembering Halloween

My husband, Alan really enjoys doing up Halloween. He hasn't been able to celebrate it the way he would like to, because our daughter has been hysterically afraid of many creatures in costumes. Even some of the cute ones, like Pooh or Mickey Mouse. She could tolerate them, but would totally avoid any house that had a scary person even remotely close to it. She has gotten much better this year, so Alan thought he could decorate up our golf cart & even get to dress up scary to drive her around the neighborhood for trick or treat. She wasn't too thrilled about his costume, but managed to get over it & loved the golf cart, since she was able to help decorate it. Unfortunately, it was much colder & windier than was tolerable, so we didn't get too far with the golf cart before having to head back for home to get the van. We stayed in our costumes though & enjoyed getting the looks & smiles from the other families. We go to a nearby neighborhood to do the trick or treating, so most people don't know us anyway, but we were totally unknown in costume. Brooke ran into a few kids from her class & bus route, but they didn't even pay any attention to us. LOL!!

So, here are a few shots of our 2009 Halloween, just in case you need a chuckle or two, or to even laugh out loud hysterically!

Well, I don't know how much I'll get to be on here as I've got a ton of stuff to do to get ready for a couple of craft shows I have for the next couple of weekends. And then, I get to have Thanksgiving at my house this year with a big family get together that I haven't ever gotten to do. I just hope I don't break under pressure! I'm only used to the small gatherings.

God bless & have a great day!

Waaaaaay behind!

Wow! This has been a slow month for me to get projects done & posted on here. But, it's been for a very good reason! We just returned from a week at Disney World in Florida!! I also had a sick daughter right before we left, so that was a bit rough trying to get her well enough to go so we didn't have to cancel the trip.

We drove there from northern Indiana, so it was a 2 day drive for us. All I have to say is, Thank GOODNESS for portable DVD players!! We bought a new one just days before we were to leave & it was a blessing to have that. We warned Brooke that we would not be getting to DW on the first day, so don't even ask if we're there yet.

I wish I could have had a picture of her face as we entered the Magic Kingdom. It was priceless & the look of wonder & magic was definitely in her eyes. There is so much to see & do there, it's just so amazing! It's my 3rd time at the Magic Kingdom & still have not seen it all. It's difficult only because I keep taking people that haven't been there before & things are always changing with the park too, so you see some of the same stuff over & over with each new person you take & some you just have to see again to remind you of how cool they were!!

My daughter's favorite thing was her Princess Storybook dining experience at Akershus in the Norway village at Epcot. I highly recommend the roasted chicken for yourself & your child. The buffet is a bit challenging from a child's point of view with the pickled fish & cold salmon among other unique Norwegian cuisine, but my very picky daughter was able to find the salami, cheese cubes & rolls to her liking. She liked the chicken & thank goodness the veggie they served with it was corn! I thought the chicken was delicious too. Much to my surprise, when you see the list of the desserts on the menu, you might want to keep in mind that you get ALL 4 of the desserts! The chocolate mousse was devine! They only serve real vanilla ice cream at Disney, so that was very tasty. I tried a small bite of the apple dumpling, but I was already stuffed to the max as it was, so I didn't eat much of it. I must say, I tried something called cream & rice that was one of the dessert items, and I must say, I liked it! It was more like a semi-frozen, sweet cottage cheese with strawberry sauce on top. It wasn't overly sweet, so I think that's why I liked it. I have a sweet tooth, but in the past year, it seems to like the really sweet stuff less & less.

That's all I'll post for today.
God Bless & have a great day!

Did ya hear?

I can't believe I missed out on this for 3 weeks already. Cricut is giving away the Winter Woodland cartridge for 5 weeks in celebration of it being their 100th cartridge!! How cool is that of them?? They're finishing up week 4 now, so there's only one week left if you don't make it for week 4. All you have to do is post a reply on their message board for the appropriate week. Then, you have a second chance by posting the contest in your blog, like I'm doing here, right now, with this link: http://www.cricut.com/shopping/ProductDetails.aspx?id=361&s=1&sc=2. It's as simple as that, it's the winning that's the hard part. LOL!

If you're not participating, can you keep your fingers crossed for me then?

Some more additions

So, a few people were asking what the pull out tag looked like from the Christmas page in the previous post. I went back & took a shot of the front, which the text has been embossed, & one of the pocket on the backside of the tag. The pocket is to hold the letter or a picture of it (whichever I might have) for her to see later on.

Back Side with Pocket:

This is a page I had to do for my Design Team assignment, which was to create a Christmas page using older non-Christmas paper. so I chose the 3 main patterned papers from Making Memories for this one. I'm not all that sure I like it, but I do think it's kind of pretty. I think it's the green that's not doing it for me.

Next are these cute little treat ornaments. I had just enough of a scrap piece left over from "The List" Christmas page in my previous post to create these 2 little folded ornaments that can hold a small treat, but you can make them a little larger, if necessary. I like the foil paper for these, because it makes them look more like an ornament. I just added some dimensional stickers to them & even came up with a cute little snowman that I created by using some button stickers by Reminisce. He's another one of those, "I don't know if anyone else has done this, but I thought of it on my own!" kind of ideas. *snicker~snicker~*

OK, I have to say that I have loved the vintage look of this scenery holiday paper from Bo Bunny since it came out! I think I could easily buy it all up! I think it sort of pairs up well with the snowflake paper from SEI. The colors are a little off, but not in certain lighting & it looks great in this picture together!

Then I made this sweet little box also from the Bo Bunny vintage paper. I simply cut it with the scalloped square shape from the Storybook Cricut cartridge & followed the box making instructions that I previously posted here. I made the little scalloped circle phrase using a Quickutz nested Flower die around a "Something Sweet" Just Rite stamp image. These would be very cute to put pieces of fudge in for someone that you just want to do a little something for.

And last, but not least, is this card I made up to display at my demo day at my LSS using the Just Rite circle stamps. There is a little trick to these stamps & I'm not totally sure I have it figured out, but I did find that when you are placing the stamp on the block, to get an even fit, you need to start from one side or the other & gently push it on going in the opposite direction. If you don't, you get little bumps that tend to get ink splotches in places you don't want, especially around the edges. I think the images actually need to be a bit taller to help prevent that, but that's just one scrapper's opinion...;) They're still very cute stamps & if you want to see some truly amazing creations, you need to check out their site: Just Rite Stampers.

So, that's it for now & these projects were sadly my last design team projects for The Memory Zone. They will be closing their store by the end of this year after 9 years of being in this community. I have met some wonderful people at this store & have made some truly amazing & gifted friends through them. It is with a heavy heart that I will have to come to say "good-bye" to my favorite store. It is a great loss.

God Bless & have a great day.
